Art Khatola
Art khatola evolved since 2016 with the tireless and unwavering support of Karachi Youth Initiative (KYI and DAI). The project is an embodiment of AR Media & Education Group’s joint efforts to inspire the underprivileged youth of Karachi, and make them realize their untapped potential in art and creativity and to introduce culture and indigenous art. The project is spanned over a total of 7-8 month each year.
Ever since the inception, Art khatola has benefited over 2000 children across Karachi. Out of which 1500 were already enrolled in school, and 500 were street or out of school children.
Art-Khatola, is a colorful decorated vehicle (mobile art studio completed with supplies and art instructors with activities to foster a love and appreciation of the arts, all children would experience the benefits of high quality art education.
Goals
- To bring arts education to the children in private/government Schools, small and rural communities of Karachi that have limited or non-existent arts programs.
- To strengthen partnerships within the regional community for the purpose of building access to the arts and supporting under-served and out of school children.
- The arts and creative opportunities provided by the ARMEN under Art Khatola will help transform the way children learn and explore the world around them.
